Adding New Textures
This article explains how to add new textures to an XFBIN.
It is recommended to read the Texture Chunks and Clump Properties articles before this one.
To add a new texture, click on the New
button next to the Texture Chunks list. Next, add the texture's name and chunk path. These must be unique to the texture and should not be the same as any other texture in the XFBIN's materials. After that, enable the Include in XFBIN
checkbox and select the NUT texture.
Doing the above will add the texture to the XFBIN when exporting with the Export textures
option enabled. However, to actually use the texture, the XFBIN materials must be modified to reference the new texture.
To do so, go to the clump panel's XFBIN Materials list, select the material you'd like to add the texture to, and then select the texture group.
Next, select the texture you'd like to replace, and change its name and chunk path to those of the new texture you made. If everything was done correctly, the new texture will be used by the material after exporting the XFBIN.
