Adjust your system clock

When testing with a Funnelcake or a XPI, you need to adjust your system clock in order to move the add-on experience forward. As all progression is time based, this can get a little annoying but, unfortunately we have not found any way around this, yet.

Below are links to articles that will assist you in adjusting your system time. As we are currently only testing on Windows, all resources are Windows specific.

Note that for all of these, you want to avoid enabling the automatic time setting.

The steps

  1. Close your browser
  2. Adjust your system time as required.
  3. Open the browser
  4. Continue with the testing steps.
