Startup Assembly Order

  • Order of operations for setting up Red Car platform for operation

Interior Electronics

  • Arduino(s)
  • Motor controllers
  • Control battery
  • Accessory battery
  • IMU (Razor 9DoF M0)

NOTE: Check wiring diagram for proper wiring

Exterior Electronics (Sensor Suite)

  • External electronics rack
  • GPS (Swiftnav Piksi Multi)
  • Lidar (VLP-16)
  • Camera (ELP-USB500W02M)
  • Rear wheel encoders (Signswise Quadrature Encoder 600 Pulses/Rev)
  • USB Hub

Power (in order)

  1. Plug in Arduino(s) (steering/propulsion) into laptop
  2. Plug in GPS into laptop
    • Turn on power bar to turn on GPS and Lidar
  3. Plug in IMU into laptop
  4. Plug in USB Hub
  5. Plug in Right Arduino (Encoder)
  6. Plug in Left Arduino (Encoder)
