Scripts don't work when TwitchNoSub is enabled #300
Comments
I really don't know how but i fixed the issue. If you encounter the same problem, just uninstall everything and reinstall only what you really need. Sorry for the inconveniance |
Hello, same here, script doesn't work anymore |
Hello,
Did you try to uninstall everything and reinstall only what you really
need? I believe the script has come into conflict with another extension
for my part.
If this still doesn't work, try another browser.

Same issue, doesn't work anymore. For me twitchnosub extension started acting up about a few days ago, after I installed the latest version of that extension it seems like the vaft script stopped working for me. |
Do you have the TwitchNoSub extension active? We have the same issue here besuper/TwitchNoSub#138 |
Yes |
As a matter of fact, I had TwitchNoSub and I didn't reinstall it, and it
works fine without it. You might solve the problem with scripts. Just wait
for another update from TwitchNoSub

version 0.8 of that does something so the adblock does not load.

The issue was tied to the TwitchNoSub extensions, once disabled i no longer had the blackscreen issues |
Same problem here, for me it was because of "twitchnosub" add-on, you should check that before. |
You are right ! It was the Twichnosub ! |
@pixeltris You should be able to close this issue as it was a problem with the TwitchNoSub extension and not any of your scripts. From my own experience, I had the issue too. I disabled my uBO and I still had the issue as long as I had TwitchNoSubs on the extension version less than v8.0. Updating to the latest (v8.0) resolved my issues - again whether or not I had uBO and your script (VAFT personally). |
It's something that needs to be fixed on the scripts in this repo as it's disabling itself when it sees the TwitchNoSub Worker hook |
Interesting, I didn't notice that behavior at all. I stand correct. Sorry for the misinformation. |
Script doesn't work anymore with or without TwitchNoSub. Get blackscreen error Update: the stream uses the new twitch codec at 1440p, even putting it at 1080p the backscreen error shows up |
yo if its still bugged for you just update twitchnosub it works fine for me now |
with new twitch codec for 1440p, it doesn't |
@cassianpry if you're having a separate problem please create separate issue and provide steps on reproducing (i.e. streams which have it enabled). This issue is specifically for the conflict with TwitchNoSub |
Fixed in 43a0397 I'd recommend using the userscript version of TwitchNoSub for time being as version 0.8 of TwitchNoSub breaks the player in the following situations:
The userscript can be found here https://github.com/besuper/TwitchNoSub/blob/master/userscript/twitchnosub.user.js and it only applies on video urls (i.e. to load the TwitchNoSub script you will need to refresh the page on |
Hi, |
My bad, thank you for such quickness! |
Hi,
I need help. I tried everything. Scripts just worked for years. But suddenly, I have ads.
I tried userscripts, Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey, Vaft, Video Swap on ublock and Tampermonkey... Nothing works.
I am on Vivaldi based on Chromium. I just don't understand because everything worked so far. Is there any solution ?
Thank you for helping me.
