Extracting saves from Steam (to port to another console)
Encrypt and copy the save file to Steam (from another console)
This is the list of implemented save conversions, so far.

Locate your FFX save location for your computer.

Take note of the file path to your
ffx_XXX
file, whereXXX
is the save slot number from001-999
(e.g.ffx_000
).
You can use these save file(s) as the inputs to the program.

Locate your FFX save location for your computer.

Rename the generated save file in the format
ffx_XXX
file, whereXXX
is the save location number from001-999
. (For instance, rename it toffx_001
to make it the second save slot location.) -
Copy this file to the save file location from step 0.

Load the save file on your PS3 (it may look weird, but this is normal).

Use an in-game save point to save the game. (Either to a new save slot or overwriting the existing slot.) This will fix the weirdness.
