syncuser walks the file system for each user/group #1209

Steps to reproduce

wwctl container syncuser walks the full fs for every user. It should just walk the fs once and catalog files that need to be updated in one linear search.

Error message

No error message. Just bad behavior.

Information on your system

Curent on Warewulf main. Made more visible using #1207.

General information

  • I have run wwctl version and reported the contents of /etc/os-release
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe this is not a duplicate
  • I have captured and reported relevant error messages and logs
