  • mapbox-gl v1 no longer receives updates or support.
  • Compatibility is dropping.. it will always be stuck on WebGL1, which means deck can no longer share a rendering context.
  • Maplibre is a reasonable alternative for mapbox-gl v1 users that cannot upgrade to mapbox-gl v2+

All examples should now be upgraded to mapbox v3 and/or maplibre v3.
