A sad sight, the coffee is cold... so cold. Too cold. Undrinkable. Coffee pot

I am quite sure we just voided the kitchen weights warranty. Weight

What is this? Lets investigate. Eivind in action

After much investigation, we concluded that we had no clue what we were looking at. We concluded that disregarding it was the best option at the time, and so we started playing with the load cells instead. Eivind point of view

We had finally gotten our load cells disconnected from the weight and plugged into the breadboard. Testing

Our first working prototype, it is connected to the PC through a Phidget interface. It was not very good at doing measurements. It was giving us the value 605 when we weren't applying force to the load-cell, 605 if we were, and 606 if we applied a lot of force. First working prototype

Second prototype is under construction, with calculated small distances between wiring for optimal efficiency.
Rewiring

After some experimentation it turns out that it actually works. Who would have thought? Off

On

Actual results, not calibrated but still awesome. Results

Completed second prototype in all its glory. Completed second prototype

Location is key. Figuring out the next; Where should we hide it so that other students wont break it. Location is Key
