My I suggest the two word "boot camp"? http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/boot_camp |
@gvwilson - up for putting this one out to Issue committee or are you wearing a shiny benevolent dictator hat here :) I've always preferred 'boot camp' myself. What's the rationale behind bootcamp as one word? |

Chicago 15 says "With frequent use, open or hyphenated compounds tend to become closed (on line to on-line to online)" [7.84] -- I'm happy to be ahead of the curve on bootcamp. Also it's clearly Greg's fingermacro, therefore if we changed to "boot camp" it would be more work to maintain consistency. :) So let's stick to "bootcamp", and if you find "boot camp" anywhere feel free to fix it. Thanks! |

I think "bootcamp" is preferred according to the FAQ, however I see a few uses of "boot camp" in the template
@amyrbrown and others - any editorial guidance here?
8 October Update: We prefer bootcamp, note any spotted "boot camps" in the wild to this issue.
