Android 9
updated from 3.5.2 to 3.5.3, both downloaded from GitHub

in trying to solve #304, I upgraded to 3.5.3 (Android). that didn't work, so I cleared my app's cache, then storage, and logged in again. the notes appeared, but it it kept saying in the top bar something like "Downloading X items, please keep app open". I let it work, but nothing changed, eventually my screen lock activated. I let it go on for another few minutes, then unlocked my screen. the app seems to have finished the downloading (no more download notice), I'm logged in properly with my email address and changes in notes propagate in both direction (desktop and Android).

however, the app now says it's "Potentially Out of Sync", and about 30 of my notes that are visible on desktop don't show up in Android. it mainly seems to be notes that were edited recently, potentially since the 3.5 issues began. any ideas what can I do?

Experienced the same issue, and also a duplication of all my notes. (Android, SN v3.5.3 with Linux/Windows v3.5.6 instances as well)

Hi @chaserene,

any ideas what can I do?

Usually creating a backup and logging out and logging back in help. However, if it occurs frequently, I'm afraid that you'd currently have to wait for an update that fixes this. I would suggest creating a manual backup of your notes on both devices just in case, in the meantime.

@jkychn I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have backups of your notes available locally or on a cloud storage provider? You should be able to use the Batch Manager extension (available to all users) to identify duplicate tags and notes and delete them accordingly or simply delete notes and tags from the unfiltered view if needed.

If that doesn't work, you might be able to create a new account and import an old backup of your notes, confirm everything is there and modify whatever's necessary, export it, reset your original account, and then import the corrected backup. After you've been able to import things successfully, you can delete the second account. (I'll provide more detailed steps as we work on this.)

Please try upgrading to Android version 3.5.5, which should be out today (you can download directly from here). Be sure to clear storage before installing 3.5.5 so you can sign in with a blank slate.

Version 3.5.7 is out, containing more fixes, and fixes an issue introduced in v3.5.5.
