These methods are marked as deprecated, and removed in Gradle v8:

https://docs.gradle.org/7.2/javadoc/org/gradle/api/reporting/Report.html#isEnabled--

To make v5 working with both Gradle v7 and Gradle v8, it is necessary to deprecate usage of these methods in this plugin.
