We are delighted to accept community translation to new languages, and increasingly widespread use means that we take vulnerabilities seriously. As the maintenance burden grows, your sponsorship allows us to give the project priority instead of taking a back seat to a day job.
Our grand plans for the very popular rendered Markdown feature hinge on being able to devote considerable time and effort to the project, something that cannot be done without some kind of supporting income. We have proof of concept code for composing larger documents from multiple Markdown files (one file per chapter) with support for tables of contents, tables of figures and auto-generated indexes. We can even do fancy things like page-break-right, both footnotes and endnotes.
We'd like these tools to be available to everyone, universities and students in particular.
Without sponsorship it would have to be a paid product and therefore a closed-source version. That is most definitely not a preferred outcome, so we hope you'll support us.
