Issue JP-2104 was created on JIRA by Jonathan Eisenhamer:

WFS&C observations should not produce associations for any GROUP association candidate.

Given the attached pool, the command

{{asn_generate -i c1001}}

should produce no associations.

Comment by Howard Bushouse on JIRA:

Justification for inclusion in B7.8.1:

  1. Why do we need it? During processing of LRE3 and NOps11 data the WFS subsystem and team received duplicate sets of WFS&C products, which was confusing to their software and procedures used to analyze WFS&C data.

  2. What does it fix? It updates the Association rules so that the generator only creates ASN's for observation-level candidates in WFS&C observations and not for group-level candidates, which for this kind of observing mode are redundant and unnecessary.

  3. What happens if we don't include it in B7.8.1? The WFS subsystem will be confused by the delivery of duplicate WFS&C products that have different names but contain the same data.
