Incorrect high CPU temperature readings

I've been having an issue with the temp monitor showing the completely wrong temps. As you can see in the screenshot I have confirmed the actual temps of my CPU using Core Temp so I know its not a hardware issue.

Is there a fix for this?

G-Helper takes CPU temperature from the Asus own sensor (this is the same temperature you would see in Armoury Crate). It may be not the same sensor Intel / AMD driver reports for cores / etc (as it's lots of them). But this is the temperature firmware uses to control fan speeds based on default or custom fan curves. So I believe it's more important to show it as main.

@EdoYoshi P.S. Run HWInfo and look at all possible CPU temp metrics there, it should be something quite close to the one Asus firmware reports.

would the higher temp readings impact how the CPU performs at all? For example, making the system think the CPU is thermal throttling and limiting its power in response? Or is it only used for the fan speed? I've been noticing some stuttering in games (My laptop has a 14900Hx and 4070), which from from my understanding would normally indicate some sort of CPU bottleneck (not enough frames being supplied to the GPU by the CPU). but the CPU should be more than powerful enough to run without issue.

I mostly just want to rule out the different temp readings as the issue before I try to troubleshoot other possibilities.

@EdoYoshi it serves purely informational purpose :) G-Helper is not controlling anything anyway, it's all on firmware and hardware. Thermal throttling is not based on this temp. But from my experience firmware uses own sensors (i.e. this temp) for fan control.
