This is a collection of upcoming improvements and fixes for the preview app

Bugs

• [web] Image Preview crops images and can't scroll #7728 (needs some kind of no-crop api option first)
• preview app: respect sorting from file list #7978 (actually also an enhancement, but feels very buggy in the current state)
• back swipe causes images to not load #8004

Code cleanup

• Clean up media viewer code #3821 -> break down into more components/files where it makes sense.
• Replace popstate with vue router if possible ? -> Introduce new transition animations to MediaViewer #6250

Enhancements

• Image Preview: Missing zoom and rotate options #7160
• Image Preview: Show images in full browser-viewport #6700
• Media viewer preloading #2052 (issue sounds like it was much worse in the past, but we would still benefit from preloading images... should not apply to video and audio types, as they tend to be much bigger, those should start loading when triggering the playback).
• Introduce new transition animations to MediaViewer #6250
• Enable autoplay on media files #7908

Accessibility

What exactly do you mean? The preview app can play videos, if they are supported by your browser. Do you have any counter-examples?

Only mp4 has playback options as we're relying on the native browser playback. I don't want to introduce a js lib for video playback at the moment. Backend side transcoding videos to h264 would be awesome for the preview app.
