TypeScript does not work in shebang scripts

#!/usr/bin/env bun
const text = "bun" as string;
console.log(text);

Upon executing the script, this happens.

error: Expected ";" but found "as"
const text = "bun" as string;

Removing the typescript part fixes the issue.
