Objective

We want to validate that we can load a saved query and that it loads up the query, time range, filters and language appropriately

What to test

Permutations to consider (only if they apply)

Data type:

  1. Index Patterns

  2. Indexes

  3. S3 Connections

  4. Cloudwatch

  5. Security Lake

Language:

  1. DQL

  2. Lucene

  3. PPL

  4. SQL

data.savedQueriesNewUI.enabled

  1. true

  2. false


Create saved queries that contain all valid combination of Data type, Language, value along with query, time range and filters.

Scenario Steps Expected result
Loading Saved Query with filters, query, date range
  • Navigate to Discover
  • Click on Open saved Query
  • Select the Saved Query
Validate if the query, filters, language, time range are loaded based on the saved query in Discover.

Pre-requisites

What do we need to make sure the test can be written

Steps to setting up the scenario

  1. Have at least 1 existing workspace with index patterns

After discussions with @LDrago27, the data types only have to be Index Patterns and Indexes.
