- facilitate testing of the preprint-remodel branch by porting over the Lando config files from the Master branch
- mostly a cherrypick of the three Lando-related commits from the Master branch
- add one new ignore to .gitignore
- prevents one from falling into "migration hades" by pulling desirable configs out of Master, thus lessening the allure of rebasing this branch on Master
…o docs, fix unrelated/minor docs formatting issue
