All of the Chao changes so far are here.
Levelling up as a buddy and warping are still broken.
- Added Buddy option in Chao transporter. This allows your Chao to tag along in stages. Unfinished
- Unencrypted Chao Saves. Chao data is stored in xml in your Appdata\Sonic World folder.
- Added the ability to randomize name in the Name Machine. All names from SA2 are available + a few unique.
- Added new Chao Types:
- Shiny Chao (Available through the Black Markety or by breeding another Shiny Chao)
- Monotone Chao (Same as Shiny)
- Jewel Chao (10% chance to appear in black market or breed with another Jewel Chao)
- Bright Chao (Chao become bright after eating the Bright Fruit available in the Black Market.)
- Added Favourite Food for Chao. A Chao can get double stat increases when eating their favourite meal.
- Added All DX Chao changes including added sounds, altered animations, and a blue/pink Chao
- Added Challenge Level, a higher difficulty for Races. Special Non-Chao opponents can be raced in this mode.
- Chao stats now have a timer to show when the next stage of their life will occur.
- Adult Chao live longer. They now live for approximately 3 hours. Child Chao still remain a child for 50 minutes.
- Visual tweaks in Chao Races and Karate to fix oddities.
- Chao can now have a bond with particular characters.
- A high character bond makes a Chao happy when picked up and strike a pose near a player.
- A high negative character bond makes a Chao try to escape when picked up and runs away when whistled.
- Several Chao faces have been tweaked to reflect their emotion better.
- Chao now express sadness on the Goodbye screen.
- Fixed a major issue where planted trees in the Chao Garden clip under the floor, making planting worthless.

- Fixed a major memory leak, where hyper models were not unloaded on stage exit.
- Adds Trip as the 45th character. Assets are placeholder, but code is complete.
