ℹ️ This is a "debugging" PR.


The content of this PR is identical to @zoshua's PR #394.

The main motivation of this PR is:

  • to commit @zoshua's work hunk by hunk.
  • to push after every commit.
  • to verify that the CI test jobs are still succeeding.

→ On my end, the CI test jobs all succeed... 🤔
