Help configuring the SES Mail Notification Service

Description

I am trying to see how the SES Mail Notification Service works. I will be using an internal SMTP server to send the emails NOT Amazon.

I have version 3.2.0 installed in my app and have configured it the best I can. When I run it, it complains that it is missing environment variables for the Amazon config:

Error: env must have required property 'SES_KEY', env must have required property 'SES_SECRET'

The documentation talks about SES and SMTP "modes", but I can't figure out how to set that mode. How do I use the service with an SMTP server?

App will not start

Expected Outcome

App starts and can be used to send emails to an SMTP server.

I figured out that there are two micro services for this service. We did not have the SMTP one enabled and I was using the SES one.
