Already supported in 3006.102.1_1-gnuton0_beta2 and 3006.102.2_2-gnuton0_alpha1. It's only a matter of time before a final version firmware will be available. |
I tried to update with this. The router GT-BE98 refuses to update these firmwares. |
I have a GT-BE98 and am running 3006.102.1_1-gnuton0_beta2 so that definitely works. I have read, however, that there's a GT-BE98 v2, perhaps you've got such a unit? The v2 doesn't seem to be compatible with the regular GT-BE98 firmwares. |
I looked, yes, it is true. I have a version V2. |

Since the Nov 6 Firmware Update from Asus, it's stable and reliable as reported by multiple users and DongKnows torture-test review, and looks promising as a single router (which its also sold as), with globally approved single 6 GHz bands(without the overkill of multiple 6 GHz bands approved only in North America) |
Just a note: RT-BE88U seems to be supported directly by AsusWrt -Merlin since November 2024, firmware download here |

Kindly contribute only the model you wish to see supported in 2024 in a single comment. If your chosen model is already mentioned, please give it a thumbs up. The more thumbs up a model receives, the higher the likelihood of its support.
🔣 RULES
🔥 LIST OF SELECTED 2024 ROUTERS 🔥
These routers will have continuos support
🌟 UNDER DEVELOPMENT 🌟
Models which are under development. Once considered stable and having a good user base it will
be selected. The code relative to these models will most probably have same life cycle as the "selected" models.
💖 CONFIRMED POSSIBLE CANDIDATES 💖
These are routers that I already own and that ASUS has already offered its support
👎 WON'T SUPPORT 👎
These routes are reaching EOL and I cannot get support from ASUS.
Routers in this list which won't be supported will get a thumb down from me.
