How to clear the terminal after exiting the app

I am learning to write a TUI app in Rust.
Everything is good now except the terminal screen is not clear after quitting the app.

> ./my_app
----------------------------
| my app is rendered here. |
----------------------------

Even when I call terminal.clear() before quitting the app, it still leaves a big empty space in my terminal screen.

For example, exiting lazygit does not leave an empty space like that

> lazygit
>

How can I do the same thing for my TUI app?
