Calling code currently only has access to the number of generated CRDs when it usually is interesting to know which files were generated and where. While retrieving that information was possible, it wasn't straightforward and required to know how the CRD generation process worked. It should be easier to figure out more detailed information about what was generated and what was taken into account to generate the CRD.
Another aspect is also exposing which classes were considered during the CRD generation process for debugging or downstream processing purposes.
