For security reasons we want to know the MAC address of the gateway without it having to be connected to the network. For ethernet capable boards there will be two MAC addresses, one for ETH and one for WiFi.
The idea is to show these when the gateway/ESP32 is connected via USB to a PC and from the Serial session type show system from the console. I've added this feature to the tec branch, so it'll eventually come over to the next 3.6.0 dev shortly.
