In 8.0, Elasticsearch will not start in the presence of indices
created in 6.x or earlier versions.

This adds a related item to the 7.15 deprecation docs.

Relates to #37510

For this one, don't we have a long-standing policy of requiring a reindex of indices from 2 major releases back? Should we just have a static page that says that? I thought we had one, but I can't find it.

Before upgrading to an 8.x version, reindex any index or data stream created in
6.x or earlier versions with {es} 7.x. If you no longer need the index or data
stream, delete it instead.

Ugh. You can't actually create data streams in 6.x or earlier versions. I'll remove those references.
