The code is fine, and we should put it back at some point, but I want things to be clearer regarding mono/mono#18827. i.e. That this does not cause it. I don't know what does cause it, granted. Maybe a preexisting race condition/deadlock, I don't know. Repro is run a loop like: ``` type \s\1.cmd for /l %%a in (1 1 999) do echo %%a && C:\s\mono2\msvc\build\sgen\x64\bin\Release\mono-sgen.exe \s\mono2\mono\tests\bug-10127.exe ```
