Welcome to the repository for MentorConnect, our innovative project developed for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024! 🎉
The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a national initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE. As the world's largest open innovation platform, SIH aims to harness the creative potential of students across India, encouraging them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems posed by government bodies, industries, and various organizations.
SIH 2024 features 202 problem statements from diverse sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and more. These challenges, presented by government ministries, public sector units (PSUs), and private companies, require participants to develop creative and feasible solutions that can make a real-world impact.
Teams are composed of 5 members, including a team leader. Collaboration is encouraged among students from the same academic background, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
Participants are encouraged to think outside the box, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to push the boundaries of technological innovation.
SIH 2024 offers a unique platform for students to interact with industry experts and government officials, gaining valuable insights into real-world challenges. This collaboration includes mentorship from industry professionals who guide participants throughout the hackathon, ensuring their solutions are practical and impactful.
Winning teams receive cash prizes, certificates, and opportunities for further development and implementation of their solutions. Additionally, avenues for mentorship and funding are provided to help bring the winning ideas to market.
SIH 2024 contributes to nation-building by addressing critical challenges faced by the country. The solutions developed during the hackathon align with the government's vision of a digitally empowered India, aiming to improve various sectors and promote technological advancements.
MentorConnect is an all-in-one platform designed to connect mentors and mentees, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development. Our platform allows users to join as a mentor or enroll as a mentee, matching them based on their specific needs and expertise. With a focus on education and professional growth, MentorConnect aims to create meaningful connections that lead to personal and professional development.

- Appointment Booking: Seamless booking system for mentees to schedule sessions with mentors.

- Clone the repository:

- Navigate to the project directory:
cd Mentorconnect - Install the dependencies:
npm install
- Start the development server:
npm start
- Open your browser and navigate to
http://localhost:3000.
