It would be great if we could have the possibility to long-press and save the image on mobile.

It is currently possible on desktop (right-click), but the standard long-press menu with "save image" is not available (at least not on the iPhones and Android devices I have tested).

This is probably due to the touch events firing not bubbling up / propagating to a long-press event... could anything be done for this ?

I believe this is related to the mechanics behind Photoswipe's capabilities to both swipe and pinch an image from touch devices, which excludes the option to display the context-menu. Just a heads-up ...
