DronePan from 1.4.2 supports the DJI Osmo - but there are a couple of things to be aware of.

Setup

When setting up the Osmo - you need to get the handle as vertical as possible (another way to say the same thing is that the mounting point on the handle where the gimbal attaches needs to be as close to horizontal as possible).

This is because the angle of the handle affects how the unit reports what pitch angle it is at - but we cannot get the actual handle angle information so we can't compensate in code.

Ground

The Osmo gimbal has a maximum downward pitch of 30˚ below horizontal (technically 35 - but via the SDK they limit us to 30). So - there will be a gap at the bottom of the panorama.

You can take a few manual shots at the end to try to fill out - how effective this is depends on how well you can judge where the Osmo gimbal head/camera should be.

Once the pano is completed - move the Osmo so that the camera is as close as possible to being in exactly the same place but pointing down - use the photo button on the handle to take a shot. You can also take a new row by pointing the camera approximately 60˚ down and rotating the Osmo - again - the trick here is that the camera needs to be pretty close to the same place.

The closer you can get to keeping the camera in the same place - the better the stitch will be and the less the manual stitch work will be.

Oh - and remember to keep your feet back out of shot :)
