I believed that the time popup over the time-line would be an acceptable replacement of the mouse cursor. But I had a return from someone who found the disappearing disturbing.
I'll put it back

J'ai trouvé perturbant de perdre le curseur quand je suis sur la ligne de temps. Je gagne bien le marqueur qui me dit à quel temps je suis, mais j'aurais attendu d'avoir les deux
