This is expected behaviour, and a Flutter bug. In order to meet F-Droid submission requirements, this project needs to use a stable version of Flutter, which excludes the custom fix for this engine issue. I've actually been considering not going forward with F-Droid at all just to be able to fix this, but that would involve maintaining a custom fork of Flutter, which I really want to avoid and is bad practice. |
Attached StackOverflow thread and GitHub issue. |
Try double tapping to see if that would select it instead of a long press. Other than that, you can attempt to open the Card Creator to make your text selection instead. I understand this issue is frustrating but there is very little I can do about it that would not overcomplicate how I would deploy to F-Droid and verify builds, and I still intend to take a break from development in general, so I'm afraid I'm marking this as won't fix for now. |
I figured every time the dictionary popup opens, if I click once anywhere inside it, that seems to fix the scrolling issue and i can copy the texts with no problem, like if i had to focus the popup first by clicking on it before doing anything you know? that's the best workaround I could find for now, but dw that's not a major issue, overall I'm very happy with the app and am preferring it to migaku or yomichan tbh, sorry for my English :p |
@Lyhcan, no worries and your English is fine. I'll take a look and see if there's anything else I can do anyway. |
Hi, is this an expected behavior? When I try to copy something in the dictionary it automatically scrolls up to the top? That's a bit annoying. I recorded a video showing the issue..
