My path to becoming a software developer started back in high school, where I first dipped my toes into Computer Science with Borland Pascal and C. Those early years laid the foundation for my coding journey, teaching me the basics like variable use, loops, and how to debug.
With no Internet tutorials available at the time, I took a break from coding for approximately two decades. During my tenure in sales and procurement, however, I gained a range of soft skills that have proven invaluable in my transition to software development. From effective communication with stakeholders and team members to meticulous attention to detail and adaptability in the face of setbacks, each experience added depth to my professional toolkit.
It wasn't long before I realized that my true passion lay in returning to my roots. After spending about a year and a half actively studying and coding in Python, I landed my first job in the Tech industry.
Looking back on my two years in this field, I've learned a lot about myself. I enjoy the puzzle-solving aspect of debugging, find fulfilment in mentoring others, and thrive on continuous learning and skill improvement. Each day brings new challenges, and I'm always eager to embrace them and grow.
