Hi plablepixels,

I was helping you out testing while you fixed the settings but now I notice that I cant get my PTZ to work anymore. Im not sure when it stopped .. I started off with one inexpensive PTZ cam and it turned out to be very decent and I was able to get the PTZ to work in zoneminder so I bought 2 more ... I believe it was before we started messing with fixing the settings issues we were having but when I had it set up with the one PTZ cam it was functioning sort of... it did have a bug that when you put the phone in landscape only the bottom 3 points in the "movement star" would work .. the lower left, lower and lower right .. you couldn't raise it or use the left and right but it fully worked in portrait ... lol got a little side tracked but now all three wont work .. the presets would work before but don't anymore either .. I made a log and see some weird things .... maybe its my server or something .. here is the log:

I don't believe I changed anything on the server and PTZ works in my browser ... could this be a byproduct of your fixes or do I need to look further into my server to see if its blocking something it shouldn't be? ..

sorry about the mispost .. forgot I was looking to see if the eventserver had changed :)

Which version of Zone Minder are you running? Did you happen to update ZM ? I am on travel till mid Feb, so it might be a bit slow for the next few weeks.

Zoneminder is v1.30.4 and I dont think its updated in a while ... i guess there may be something newer but as of now it says its up to date

and no problem .. you do what you need to do :) I can still work around this so .. no rush :)

I just tried with 1.31.1 - seems to work. I know ZM folks did work on CSRF between 1.30.4 and 1.31 - if you'd like to try

I'd suggest you try with zmNinja desktop first. You can download from https://github.com/pliablepixels/zmNinja/releases

Whelp..... Made a VM and did a clean install of Zoneminder v1.30.4 (also tried 1.31) and installed one camera and ptz ... I am getting the same error on the VM. I am running a file I found in the forums to get the PTZ working .. its not one that came with the install... I don't think that is a problem .. as I say .. it works with the webpage controls .. but just in case ... here is what I am using.

It seems that maybe zmNinja just doesn't like my setup for some reason .. A clean install with a clean web server and zoneminder install ... and I still cant get it to work anymore ... Oh well .. no big deal .. I would only use that when out and probably "showing off" the setup ... I can launch the webpage if I want to show off the camera control :)... zmNinja is still good for getting notifications and quickly viewing a live alert or live video.

LOL in a round about way it did help me tho .. I wanted to find a way through terminal / script to move a camera or set of cameras to a specific preset and when I set up the new server I forgot to add the Vstarcam_C24S.pm and it threw an error that showed me the command it was trying to send. I was able use that with my other zoneminder setup and now I know what I need and the format I need it in to set a camera to a preset through a script or command line

Not sure what is going on. My PTZ works, but I am using a diff. camera. Is it possible to get access to the VM with the 1 camera? If so, please send me an email with details. Please make sure that ZM version is 1.31 GA (not an experimental branch)

Hmmm... 1.31 GA ... don't know what that is or where to find it ... I'm using the only 1.31 (its now 1.31.1) I can find .... the one from ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-master ... is there a version other than that? I only see ZoneMinder Stable, ZoneMinder Master Snapshots and ZoneMinder with StorageAreas.

If the zoneminder-master is ok let me know ... if not .. can you give me a link to the version you would like me to use for the test server.
