Hey @geriux this fix worked for me for issues related to paragraph and Heading when merging blocks on Android. I did some more generic tests, but did not complete the full Writing Flow test suite.
I did run the full gutenberg-mobile CI suite of tests here: wordpress-mobile/gutenberg-mobile#3214
Hey @cameronvoell thanks for testing and approving! Just to give a little bit more information, the I tested removing the same So for now this is what we'll have: On Android: we will trigger |

Fixes #29478
Description
After adding some changes to keep the clientId after splitting, it caused a regression on Android generating content duplication.
After some investigation, I saw
onTextUpdate
was replacing the right content with the previous one after the split of the block on Android. I added someisIOS
checks to prevent this from triggering but keeping it for iOS.I also updated the block editor store name to use the variable instead of a string (it was showing a warning).
Lastly, I brought some pending code from this PR that was closed in favor of #28505. To avoid the keyboard jumping when using the
return
key on Android.How has this been tested?
I ran E2E tests (including canary) on both platforms.
Splitting/Merging test on both platforms:
Note: Test this with both Paragraph and Heading block.
Keyboard jumpiness on Android:
