[HL:OF] Pistol reloading bug #1076
Comments
Its cause because there is an powerup item, that doubles your magazine and every seconds refill your ammo. With this powerup your 9mmclip magazine is 34 and you cant reload while it full. |
So not a bug then? |
It's a bug. You cannot reload, for instance, Desert Eagle endlessly. This bug is menitoned in the Trivia section: |
IIRC, this has roots all the way back to the launch of the original half-life. Originally, you could leave a bullet "in the chamber" when you reloaded the pistol; so you'd start off with 17 bullets, but could reload up to 18. This was neat, but was eventually removed for reasons unknown to me. However, as a leftover, you could endlessly reload the pistol since it never "got full" I guess. When Op4 was made, it was built on a version with that bug, and when it got fixed in Half-life, the fix never propagated to Op4. |
It's a bug, there is not powerups or such, also this is in half-life and blue shift |
Closing in favour of #2285. |
Pistol can be reloaded when its magazine is full:
