Releases: TurboWarp/packager-extras
v1.8.0
Changes since v1.7.0:
- Make it easier to run Packager Extras on Linux systems using Wine. (This isn't "supported" but it works fine)
To use it: Download "turbowarp-packager-extras-1.8.0.zip" in the "Assets" section below, extract it, then run the "turbowarp-packager-extras.exe" inside (don't delete the "_internal" folder!). Then select an Electron or NW.js zip file generated by the TurboWarp Packager.
Privacy notice: The app may make a single anonymous request to check for updates.
If you see a Windows SmartScreen warning: Press "More info" then "Run anyways"
As always, report bugs on GitHub or on Scratch.
v1.7.0
Changes since v1.6.0:
- Instead of an EXE that extracts itself into your temporary files folder each time it runs, TurboWarp Packager Extras is now a zip that you extract once yourself. This makes antivirus software less suspicious.
- We stopped compressing libraries used by Packager Extras. This means the app will be measurably larger, but antivirus software have less trouble figuring out that the code is all safe.
- The update checker now uses a request to
packager.turbowarp.org
instead ofraw.githubusercontent.com
.
To use it: Download "turbowarp-packager-extras-1.7.0.zip" in the "Assets" section below, extract it, then run the "turbowarp-packager-extras.exe" inside (don't delete the "_internal" folder!). Then select an Electron or NW.js zip file generated by the TurboWarp Packager.

v1.6.0
Changes since v1.5.0:
- In addition to fixing the EXE's icon, it will now also patch up some other EXE metadata. This will make the correct information appear in Task Manager and in the "Properties" > "Details" menu.
To use it: Download "turbowarp-packager-extras-1.6.0.exe" in the "Assets" section below, run it, then select an Electron or NW.js zip file generated by the TurboWarp Packager.

v1.5.0
Changes since v1.4.0:
- Generated uninstallers now ask the user if they would like to remove user data such as local cloud variables. (Previously, NW.js files would always delete while Electron files would never delete. They now both ask.)
- Fixed many errors related to special characters, non-English characters, emojis, and others.
To use it: Download "turbowarp-packager-extras-1.5.0.exe" in the "Assets" section below, run it, then select an Electron or NW.js zip file generated by the TurboWarp Packager.

v1.4.0
Changes since v1.3.0:
- A version number option was recently added to the TurboWarp Packager. TurboWarp Packager Extras will now use this version number in generated installers. The version option is entirely optional and has no impact on project behavior. It may appear in the app list in Windows settings.
To use it: Download "turbowarp-packager-extras-1.4.0.exe" using the link below, run it, then select an Electron or NW.js zip file generated by the TurboWarp Packager.
