Power BI - Driving Data-Driven Insights and Solutions

This portfolio showcases my proficiency in leveraging Power BI to transform raw data into actionable insights and solve real-world business challenges. Each project demonstrates my ability to connect to various data sources, build interactive visualizations, derive key performance indicators (KPIs), and effectively communicate data stories. 1. Analyzing Factors Behind Road Accidents in the UK - Road Accident Dashboard

  • Problem Addressed: Understanding the key factors contributing to road accidents in the UK using a large dataset. This analysis aims to identify patterns and trends that can inform preventative measures and improve road safety.
  • Power BI Solutions Implemented:
    • Developed an end-to-end, highly insightful, and interactive dashboard using Power BI Desktop.
    • Employed various visual types such as Card, Matrix, Doughnut, Line Chart, Multi-Row Card, and Map to effectively represent different aspects of the data.
    • Integrated useful Slicers and Filters to allow for dynamic exploration of the data based on selected conditions. This enables users to drill down into specific segments and understand the underlying factors.
    • Highlighted key KPI details to provide a concise overview of the accident data.
    • Published the dashboard to Power BI Services to facilitate collaboration and sharing of insights with stakeholders.
  • Impact: This project demonstrates my ability to work with large datasets, identify critical factors, and present findings in an easily understandable and interactive format for decision-making in transportation and public safety.

2. HR Attrition Rate Analysis - HR Dashboard

  • Problem Addressed: Analyzing HR data to understand the factors contributing to employee attrition rates. The goal is to identify key drivers of turnover and provide insights that can inform strategies for employee retention.
  • Power BI Solutions Implemented:
    • Created another end-to-end, highly insightful, and interactive HR Dashboard using a dedicated HR Dataset.
    • Utilized a range of visual types including Card, Matrix, Doughnut, Line Chart, and Multi-Row Card to visualize different dimensions of employee data and attrition.
    • Implemented Slicers and Filters to enable HR professionals to analyze attrition based on various employee attributes and time periods.
    • Focused on highlighting key KPI details related to attrition trends and contributing factors.
    • Published the HR Dashboard to Power BI Services for collaborative analysis and action planning within the HR department.
  • Impact: This project showcases my ability to analyze HR data, identify critical factors influencing employee attrition, and present actionable insights to support HR strategies and improve employee retention.

3. Sales Analytics Dashboard - Sales Analytics Dashboard

  • Problem Addressed: Providing a comprehensive overview of sales performance through key metrics and trends. This dashboard aims to support sales teams and leadership in monitoring performance, identifying opportunities, and making data-driven decisions to drive revenue growth.
  • Power BI Solutions Implemented:
    • Developed a Sales Analytics Dashboard leveraging Power BI Desktop.
    • Employed interactive visualizations to display key sales KPIs, such as revenue, sales volume, growth rates, and regional performance.
    • Integrated Slicers and Filters to allow users to segment sales data by product, region, time period, and other relevant dimensions.
    • Focused on presenting actionable insights to help identify top-performing products, key customer segments, and areas for improvement.
    • Published the Sales Analytics Dashboard to Power BI Services for easy access and collaboration among sales teams and management.
