FAQ

How do I report technical difficulties?

The most direct way to report problems is via the feedback tab on the right of the screen, as seen below.

In case this doesn't work for you, or your issue is urgent, please don't hesitate to contact the organizer or me (the developer, contact information in the footer below).

What data is collected about me?

Copa makes a point about collecting the minimum amount of data possible, and exposing it only when necessary. Here's an overview of some sensitive information:

  1. As a regular user, you will be routed through Google to login, upon which you'll see exactly what information Copa asks for (basic profile info e.g. name, avatar etc.). Your Google ID will be used to identify you as a user, but will not be disclosed at any other point to anyone.
  2. In addition, Azure telemetry data (e.g. pages visited and the time when, but nothing personally identifiable) is collected for debugging and analytical purposes.
  3. Finally, if you're a team manager, you will be asked for a phone number which is only visible to the organizer when contact is needed.

Will everyone see my profile?

The mission of this web app is to provide a stepping stone, NOT a barrier to participating in Copa. This means almost all features are opt-in, so you have to explicitly agree to enable things like public profiles and betting on your team's matches; i.e., by default, your identity is hidden.

The ONLY requirement for you to participate in Copa is to register your team with a team name, no more no less.
