The internet is a really powerful tool that connecting people virtually. Owing to the low threshold and the convenience, more and more people are gathering on the Internet for variety purposes. Decoding how they evolve has become an interesting topic because it contains numerous of hidden stories. Our goal is to explore the groups in Meetup.com by building an intuitive and interactive tool containing multiple charts on viewing the evoluation of groups from the category’s perspective. In our tool we are focucing on two aspects of the Meetup.com data: the scale of each category and thier events.
