Issues
NIEM is now using GitHub to track content-related issues. These issues were previously managed via the NIEM Configuration Control Tool (NCCT).
Use this issue tracker for issues relating to the content of a release or issues with one of the release package artifacts.
Issues relating to the architecture of the model or NDR rules should be added to the NDR repo.
Note: A GitHub account is required to submit issues and post comments. Please make sure you are logged in.
- Click on the "Issues" tab (or click here).
- Click the green "New Issue" button.
- Add a title. Include the namespace prefix or name and the component name if applicable.
- Add the text of the message, describing the issue.
You can see the full list of issues in the "Issues" tab.
Issues relating to a release will also be added to a project board for that release. For example, the 5.0 project board provides an easy way to view the status of all the 5.0 issues.
Columns in the project boards will include:
- To Do - Newly created issues that are labeled with the project's release number.
- Pending Review - Issues that have been sent to the NBAC, a domain, or another stakeholder for feedback or approval.
- Approved - Issues that have been approved and are ready to be integrated into the model.
- Done - Completed issues that have been integrated to the model, or issues that have been closed out for another reason.
The project board and settings may be adjusted as we go along to make the workflow as smooth and helpful as possible. If you have suggestions or feedback, please submit here as a new issue or send us an email at [email protected].
- Issue titles, descriptions, and comments can be edited after submission. The original text will still be available as history.
- GitHub supports Markdown styling in issues.
- See GitHub's Guide to issues for more features.
