The vision of OMEGA Rackets is to promote the beautiful sport of Racketlon around the globe and connect enthusiasts to make our community even greater. As racket sports enthusiasts, the brothers Léon and Noah Mamié have decided to team up and create a webpage featuring Racketlon-related content only. We provide players with analytics on their athlete profile, an outlook on the FIR World Tour, the history of this sport and, ultimately, a presentation of our team.
The analytics section features a personalized ranking history in the form of a line chart. This graphic aims at providing Racketlon players with an idea of their personal development over the last months. Furthermore, this page contains a ranking table consisting of the top Racketlon players for demonstration.
The tour section aims at providing members of our community with an overview of the FIR Racketlon Tour, allowing them to make up their minds on which tournaments they wish to participate at. Ultimately, we hope to spread awareness of this beautiful sport with initiatives like these, resulting in an increasing Racketlon community that is connected all around the globe.
The tour section walks Racketlon enthusiasts through the most important steps in the past of this still young sport. Starting out in the 1980s, Racketlon has seen a tremendous development over the years and has recently sparked some interest with professional athletes from its individual sports. Thereby, names such as Alison Waters, Nick Matthew and Pongfinity member Otto Tennilä have graced this sport with their presence.
The about section introduces the team behind OMEGA rackets and provides information on the individual members' backgrounds.
Additionally, the the website has been equipped with some trending features to enhance the user experience even further. Specifically, apart from gaining insights into their personal ranking history, registered users may switch between dark and light mode (default: dark) and change their password in the profile section. Last but not least, the profile section also contains specific player stats that are tailored to the individual users.
Overall, we feel that we have learned a lot from this experience and hope to be able to transfer some of the knowledge gained to future projects.
