Adding a new member

Hi everyone,
I’d love to volunteer to join the Open GitOps initiative! With 20 years of experience in software development, I’ve seen many software systems being developed and deployed.

I'm excited to collaborate and learn from everyone in the community. I am looking forward to your feedback and contributions! 🚀

Just checking:

• content/patterns team: I see you commented in that discussion, so this makes sense, and looking forward to your thoughts on this topic! we can discuss in Slack as well as in GitHub, as those efforts are underway
• marketing/events team: what would you like to help with? We can also discuss this more in opengitops CNCF slack channel if real time conversation on that is better (our upcoming even is the next GitOpsCon, which has planning underway but can still probably use volunteers for certain things)
• website team: we can definitely use more help here. What are your skillsets on this, and what do you think you're able to help with here? Can also discuss on Slack

Just want to clarify these before merging a PR to join all of these teams, as it implies a level of commitment and ongoing discussion above general one-off contribution PRs which doesn't require joining a team to do. Thanks!

Yes, my preference is content/patterns, websites, marketing/events. in this order.

Regarding websites. I have some experience with static page generators. Not Gatsby particularly, but, Hugo, Astro for example. Also did some Web Dev in the past with Angular (not React yet, but not afraid of it ;) )
Buy the way, I think Astro would fit more for the use case. So if this direction is interesting I can do a lot I think.

Regarding marketing let's discuss it in slack. Just showing my readiness to help where I can.

first two, yes fantastic. discussing the events team in slack sounds great 👍 if you want to remove that one for now we can merge this, and always add that one in another PR
