I really think this warning should be removed again after some time to clean up the experience/not annoy users (especially considering this change has been communicated quite well), but it can definitely stay for a while |

We plan on keeping it for a few versions. We are still getting a lot of users who, even with this warning showing up in front of their faces, they still don't notice .3ds is no longer supported. You can dismiss the warning too and it will not show again. |

A warning in QT and Android is shown on launch specifying that support for encrypted files are .3ds files has been dropped. The user can click "don't show again" to dismiss the warning and it will not show again.
