Project Overview

RECARN-UQAM (Réseau des Étudiants Chercheurs de l'Alliance de Recherche Numérique à l'UQAM) is a collaborative, inclusive research network at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). It aims to empower students, particularly those from equity-seeking groups, by providing access to advanced digital research technologies (ARN), including AI, cybersecurity, and data science. Through peer mentoring, workshops, and collaborative projects, RECARN-UQAM fosters technical skills and a supportive learning environment to overcome barriers in STEM fields.

Key goals include:

  • Providing training on ARN technologies through peer-led workshops and content creation.
  • Establishing partnerships with equity-seeking groups to tailor training and mentorship.
  • Engaging with institutional decision-makers to foster inclusive policies.
