Cleave Targeting Incorrect Creature

Cleave is not working as intended. I was able to notice that while fighting Jungle Bugs and Shear Mites on Dathomir, I cleaved off of a kill and it said I hit, but I did no damage and missed my next attack.

that the Shear Mite was the mob whose death triggered the cleave so the damage shouldn't have been done to it. At least that seems to be the case

There are only 2 mobs here. The mite, who will be dying, and the jungle bug, who I'm not fighting yet
I have the video if you want it. But the mite being targeted by the cleave is the issue here
Since it shouldn't be. That's not how cleave says it should work
