Hello developers! Welcome to the July edition of the ZKsync Developer Update. This month, we highlight the latest advancements in the protocol, showcase a range of new and improved development tools, and introduce recent integrations.
Here are the updates for the last month:
🔀 ZKsync 3.0: Introducing the Elastic Chain
After the v24 protocol upgrade, MatterLabs finally unveiled the vision for ZKsync 3.0, the Elastic Chain: a scalable network of ZK rollups designed for seamless interoperability and low-cost transactions.
The ZKsync 3.0 upgrade transforms ZKsync into an elastic network, addressing issues with fragmented liquidity and user experience in multi-chain environments. Key components include the ZK Router, ZK Gateway, and customizable ZK Chains built with ZK Stack. The Elastic Chain aims to enhance user experience by providing a unified ecosystem, allowing easy cross-chain transactions, and maintaining Ethereum-level security. Over 20 new ZK Chains are expected to launch by the end of 2024.

ZKsync at ETHcc[7]
ZKsync was one of the main sponsors at the ETHcc[7] conference in Brussels, engaging with developers through insightful talks and discussions. We had a booth where we onboarded more than 300 developers to ZKsync using ZK Quest, a learn-to-earn platform. Our team actively interacted with the community, showcasing the latest protocol updates and our vision for the future.
Here are the main talks:

🦁 Aragon OSx
Aragon’s OSx and App are now live on ZKsync, enabling projects within the ZKsync ecosystem to launch DAOs and govern protocols onchain. This integration allows for seamless, low-cost voting, robust security, and enhanced user experiences through ZKsync’s scalable network. Aragon’s tech stack, benefiting from native account abstraction, provides intuitive, modular governance solutions for DAOs.
