I have another suggestion. This is a simple usability suggestion.

If a person initiates a cycled task on an empty line, I think it's safe to assume that the - [ ] can be inserted with the first option in the cycle list.

Thanks again.

In fact, in a previous version of Task Marker, the first cycled status (for the case with text) is - [ ] when the current status is a list item rather than a task. However, in the updated version, the first cycled status was changed to be the status set by the user.

Regarding this issue, can you clarify if you would like the first cycled status to be - [ ] or the status set by the user? On the other hand, I am considering two options:

  • Add an additional option/command for Create tasks. - [ ] would be inserted for an empty line.
  • Add an additional command for Cycle tasks. The first cycled status would be the status set by the user rather than - [ ] directly.

The first option exists already.

The second item I feel would be the perfect solution.
