Fsr on Legion Go broken since last update #1534
Comments
Having similar issues after update to 23.08 (40) Rolling back to previous (3.6) normally shows FSR as on on all games (playing on 1080p resolution with game on 720p) Using deskmini x300 with ryzen 5600g |
May be fixed in tonight's update |
Good to know😊 Thanks! @KyleGospo |
just update my ally x and doesn't seem to work, FSR still off |
I'm a Legion Go user. In my case as well, it dosen't seem to work. it shows FSR off. Is there any solution?? anybody knows? |
@JR-Park Rollback for now. To a at least one week old build |
I ran rebasing to an older version stable-240707. it shows fsr on but it seemed to be not properly working. graphic was a little changed but frame was not improved. can I ask you if your bazzite legion go has an option to change resolution in display setting tap in gaming mode? this issue seems to be related with the system base resolution... |
I found that if you disable frame limit , fsr will be "on" in overlay; if frame limit is off ,the fsr will always be "off" |
I tried to disable frame limit but fsr didn't work in legion go. I think frame limit may not be a cause. The thing is that I tried the same thing in real steamdeck and it did work. |
I’m still having this issue on the latest version |
FSR still broken on Rog ally. Is this still being looked at?? |
@Jack32X @bala16 Hi, on my end it is working on both my Legion Go and my Rog Ally. If you turn FSR or NIS on it will activate if the game allows it, even though it shows on the Overlay "Off" (if you disable frame limit it will show "on" if your game is running at a lower resolution than native) . Some games like Spider-Man don't allow fsr 1.0 because the whole game doesn't really run at the resolution you set it to but it will downscale to the resolution you set keeping the native screen resolution at the earth of the game |
I just tried it in the way you mentioned using my Ally. By switching FSR and NIS, I could see the FSR indicator turn on and quickly turn off, and at the same time observe the texture details on the screen, I can confirm that FSR and NIS are indeed effective. So this is just a display error of the FSR status. However, still hope it can be fixed. |
Hi, @WillySou. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the bazzite team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale. Issue Summary:

Describe the bug
It's been happening since the latest update. Performance tanks when using specific 36fps and 30fps framecap while with Fsr on.. When fsr is off or framecap is at 48fps+ upwards performance is as expected although somehow FSR shows that is off. I had this issue on my steam deck while docked to my TV but it's a first while using the LeGo. I rolled it back for now and everything is working normally, meaning fsr is showing that it's on Thanks!

What did you expect to happen?
FSR is on with framerate capped. And performance stays similar and it shows that it is on on the overlay
