Can't Type ( or & when using Typeahead

Since shift+9 (i.e. ) ) and shift+7 (i.e. & ) share keycodes with the up and down arrows when the typeahead drop down is active you can't type either of these characters.

Type s (or almost anything) to bring up the typeahead dropdown and then try to type either ( or &

The Bootstrap typeahead has been deprecated per #7805.

Technically, the issue is that v2.3.x itself is end-of-life. Any v2.3.x issue that isn't also applicable to 3.0.0-wip is basically gonna be closed as WONTFIX (or "already fixed", as applicable).
